Royce J. Trenholm

29 January 1942 - 15 January 2017

 

The death of Royce J. Trenholm age 74 occurred on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Amherst, Nova Scotia, while surrounded by his loving wife.

Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Royce was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Lawrence) Trenholm.

Royce will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Nicole (Carignan) Trenholm; son, John Michael Trenholm; daughter, Elizabeth Trenholm; grandson, Finnley; step-mother, Muriel Trenholm-Schubert; sisters, Marilyn, Lillian, and Rosalie; sister in law, Michelle Carignan; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Royce was predeceased by his brothers, Jack and Larry; sister, Ruth.

Royce was an electrical (Broadcast) Engineer with the Federal government of Canada, retiring after 35 years of service.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst (902) 667-9906. There will be a Celebration of Life on August 5, 2017 at the Homestead in Fort Lawrence Rd.

A special thank you to Dr. Kelly Morris, Dr. Keith Short, Dr. Murray McCrossin and Amy Thurston (RN) as well as all the nursing staff.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Royce’s memory may be made to the CRHCC Palliative Care Unit or the Canadian Cancer Society.
