After graduating from the New Brunswick Institute of Technology (Communications Option) in 1970, I married my current wife, Germaine Boudreau and we have two great children, a daughter and son, Suzanne and Daniel.

Prior to joining the federal government, I worked in private industry (Bailey Meters/Montreal,Quebec and Brunswick Mining & Smelting/Belledune, N.B.) for a  number of years in instrument design/repair.

I joined the Department of Communications in December 1972 as a Radio Inspector in Saint John, N.B. office which was then under the command of Phil Ritchie.

Shortly thereafter, I was promoted to Standards Officer in the Moncton Regional office where I worked in the Spectrum Control Sector for 2 1/2 years and then  promoted to Manager of the Bathurst District Office in July 1977.

After a number of years in the Bathurst office, accepted the Charlottetown office in August 1980 where I was responsible for the Province of Prince Edward Island.

I spent seven years on the Island as District Director prior to taking over the position  of District Director for New Brunswick/Prince Edward Island working out of the Saint John office, being responsible for both provinces until retirement in December 2002.
