Ah. My first “laptop” 30 some-odd years ago! And my first
ship inspection with Watson and
Jacques.
I can’t believe the time has flown by so fast. When I
graduated from Conestoga College in Kitchener 35 years ago, there was no way I
could have imagined what a wonderful job offer I accepted. My circumstances
became very unique because of Jane’s health problems that began in earnest about
15 years ago. I am so grateful to have worked for, and with, a group of people
that have been so accommodating. It has been a real privilege working with so
many professional, respectful, kind and compassionate people. I cannot thank
you all enough.
Many have asked what my plans are for the future. Well, I
plan to improve my guitar skills and do a little bit more travel. But for many
years, Jane and I have both enjoyed working together in the community doing
volunteer work for an international organization. Our primary goal is to focus
more on that work to the extent that Jane’s health will permit. Our
web site which is currently available in 951 languages, explains the nature
of our work.

So, for the last time, Inspector 018 signing off… “Over and
Out”… Just kidding. I really mean “Out”… (don’t worry, I’ll never forget proper
radio operator procedures!)
